Although cricket was gifted to man kind by European merchant sailors in the 18th-century and the first cricket club in India was established in Calcutta in 1792, but since then every nukes and corners of India have seen a evolutionary revolution of enthusiasm among young Indians for this game. Inspired by the legendary eminent personalities of Indian cricket, we too started as a budding spirit with handful number of enthusiasts, but popped up gradually into another almighty team in our neighborhood vicinity. In our first few matches, we might have not proved the best of our potentials, but soon we struggled and gained those tactical strategic leading edges over our most toughest opponents gradually with the emergence of ultimate players . Apart from their professional life and career in IT industries, these guys have managed to spend a bit of their personal hours in architecting this organization.

Traditionally much stronger at home ground than abroad during earlier day, today the Sri Jagannath cricket club has improved its overseas form since the start of 2010. It won Fusion T12 tournament in Dec 2009 and was runners-up in Fusion T15 cup during march 2010 under captainship of another extremely talented man. It also won the inaugural T10 during early 2009. The current team contains many of the leading players from across corporate sectors, including best of the breeds like the ones of current date along with the regular set of great old champions who hold numerous cricketing records on their names.

Over the years our cricket team has now matured enough to take credit for creating its own eternal personalities, who will continue to live years after their mortal passing . To this day, the rocket shots, cover drive, the leg glance invented by our guys, spectacular spells, the incredible fielding, the inimitable style of Billy Bowden signaling a boundary or a sixer, all these are etched in the portals of immortality.
