Vishnu, who comes from the cricketing
backwater of Tamilnadu, first came to
prominence with his performances during
April 2011. Vishnu's assured stroke play,
and composure that belied his age,
earned him a cap against Opponents when
he was only 2 days older in the team.
Recalled to the match against Uribaba
Nights, he made an impact with some
steady and purposeful batting. But it
was during July against Apache 11 that
he truly hit the high notes, culminating
in a magnificent unbeaten 37 as Team
SJCC successfully chased 106 for
victory. A superb performance followed -
against Madhusudan's team during
September 2011. His experience of the
cricket circuit was also a mixed bag,
some typically dynamic efforts
interspersed by a string of low scores.
Vishnu's exceptional fielding at cover
often overshadowed his scores with the
bat - including a horror run during
October 2011. |
